Temples

While technically in the neighboring Kheda district, Dakor is just a 45-minute drive (approx. 33 km) from Anand and is the most important pilgrimage site for the region. Dedicated to Lord Krishna (Ranchhodrai), the temple features a gold-plated dome and a 1-meter tall black touchstone idol.

Located about 30 km from Anand, this is one of the most historically important temples for the BAPS sect. It was the first temple established by Shastriji Maharaj, the founder of BAPS, in 1907. The structure is grand, featuring traditional white marble and stone carvings.

Known formally as Sri Sri Radha Giridhari Mandir, this temple is located in the vibrant university hub of Vidyanagar. It is celebrated for its peaceful atmosphere, beautiful idols of Radha-Krishna, and the soul-stirring Kirtans performed by students and devotees.

Just 2 km from Anand city, this temple is over 500 years old and is dedicated to Lord Hanuman. It is famous for its Swayambhu (self-manifested) idol. It is a major hub of faith, especially on Saturdays and during the grand fair held on Kali Chaudas.

Located in the heart of the city near Goya Talav, this mandir is a masterpiece of Vedic architecture. Built with intricate carvings on pink stone, it features six majestic domes and serves as a spiritual sanctuary for the local community.
